Forward: Divock Origi – 6 – Netted the final goal to cap off an improved second-half performance after a disappointing first 45. Poor decision making at times and wasteful in the final third as he started his seventh match in a row for the Reds. 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 Right-back: Nathaniel Clyne – 7 – After a disappointing couple of games, the England defender put in a good shift. 11 11 Centre-back: Dejan Lovren – 7 – An overall solid game from the Croatian to see out the clean sheet. Forward: Daniel Sturridge – 8 – A breath of fresh air after making his first start since January. His movement and positivity troubled West Ham’s back line and he took his goal brilliantly, showing composure to round Adrian before slotting into an empty net. Left-back: James Milner – 6 – Poor in the first half but as West Ham collapsed in the second half, the 31-year-old had the licence to attack more. Midfield: Georginio Wijnaldum – 7 – Like many players, the Dutchman was much improved in the second half, registering two assists. He very nearly scored a goal of the season contender as his dipping volley hit the bar before Philippe Coutinho’s first. As always, the former Newcastle man provided Liverpool’s midfield with energy. Centre-back: Joel Matip – 7 – Made a key interception in the run up to Sturridge’s opener. A solid game overall from the Cameroonian as we have come to expect.
